Raploch Masterplan and Design Guide

To help ensure the highest quality urban design, a Raploch Masterplan and Design Guide has been produced providing detailed and comprehensive guidance for the future development.

Based on an investment in excess of £120 million, the masterplan envisages:

  • 900 new high quality, energy efficient homes of mixed tenure by 2013;
  • A range of external environmental improvements and sports facilities;
  • Development of a new Village Square area for community events;
  • Introduction of traffic calming and pedestrian areas in the Drip Road area;  
  • A new Community Education Campus, delivered through a separate Public Private Partnership.
   R3 (a joint venture consortium of George Wimpey East Scotland Ltd and Cruden Homes (East) Ltd) commenced
   the building works on the first phase of new homes (site 5 in the above image) at the beginning of 2008. To access more
