Drip Road Plan

After community consultation, the ambitious £100 million plan to transform the Raploch area of Stirling took a further step forward in November 2005, when the project sought to secure the required statutory consents for the traffic calming of Drip Road and the creation of the new village square.

The £5 million project involves:
  • The upgrading of approximately 200 metres of Drip Road;
  • Creation of a new pedestrian friendly environment around a new Community Campus;
  • Installation of new street lighting;
  • Development of a village square area for community events;
  • Introduction of traffic calming measures along both Drip Road and Raploch Road;
  • Improved bus-stop facilities;
  • Dedicated parking for disabled users of the community facilities.
